Bithumb announced earlier today that it would add five new coins to its trading list. The cryptocurrency site is one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges globally. The South Korea-based site made the announcement on Twitter, giving the five altcoins as TenX (PAY), WAX (WAX) Power Ledger (POWR), Loopring (LRC), and Gifto (Gifto).
Following the listing, the five coins all traded in the green in the early Asian hours, riding the wave of optimism that usually surrounds such events.
What do you need to know about these five coins?
Here is a brief description of each of them.
TenX (PAY) is a cryptocurrency platform that seeks to make access to virtual currencies easy. The project offers to issue cryptocurrency debit cards which are designed to enable crypto users to access to numerous digital currencies. This is vital as users can easily get access to different currencies from any blockchain platform.
At the time of writing, PAY was trading at $1.50 against the US dollar. The 103rd ranked token is the biggest beneficiary of the listing, surging +17.33% over the last 24 hours. Its market cap now stands at $163 million after a total of $51 million worth of PAY tokens were traded as compared to $11 million yesterday. The increase in daily trading volume represents a huge 450%.
Wax (WAX) is a revolutionary video game platform that functions as a marketplace. It serves more than 400 million players on its decentralized blockchain-based platform that is designed to enable anyone the chance to access and operate a virtual marketplace. The platform offers this to users who need not worry about security, infrastructure, or payment processing.
Wax is ranked 93rd on CoinMarketCap at the moment. The token currently trades at $0.300 against the USD. It has a market cap of $188 million and has seen a total of $38 million tokens traded in the last 24 hours. This is an upside of +500% in the last 24 hours when only $6 million WAX tokens were traded.
Loopring (LRC)- is one of the fastest rising blockchain platforms. It is a decentralized exchange platform that has been designed to operate across multiple blockchains. Part of the platform’s appeal comes from its use of ring transactions and order matching. It does so to facilitate the exchange of assets across different blockchains. What could work in its favor is the use of its Loopring protocol that allows it to work with both decentralized and centralized exchanges.
LRC is ranked 51st at the moment and traded at $0.702 against the USD. Its price has spiked by +4.88 in the last 24 hours. With a market cap of $401 million, the token has seen a total of $58 million worth of tokens traded. It’s up from $25 million the previous day, which is still remarkable at slightly over 200%
Gifto (GTO)- is an Ethereum-based decentralized platform that is developed to allow instant, private payments to content creators via customized gifts. It aims to transform a market of about 2.2 billion people. The platform also runs smart contracts that allow users to create and exchange virtual gifts. It’s one of the new gems that could break into the top tier very soon.
Gifto is trading at $0.359 against the US dollar. In the last 24 hours, its daily trading volumes have spiked by over 200% from $30 million to the current $71 million. However, its price gained briefly before dipping and is now -2.81% down over 24h.
Power Ledger (POWR) – listing on Bithumb has come at the right time for this Australian blockchain-based cryptocurrency. It is one of the leading marketplaces for peer-to-peer energy trading. The platform leverages blockchain technology to allow households sell any excess solar power at the marketplace. These transactions are tracked and settled in real time once smart contract conditions are met
POWR has also declined after seeing a brief surge of about +2%. It currently trades at $0.48 against the USD with its market cap at $178 million. Its 24h trading volume has increased from $15 million worth of the token to $61 million- an n increase of slightly above 300%.
It’s a good day for TenX (PAY) and Loopring (LRC) that are currently still in the green after seeing their daily volumes increase after the listing.
