The country music world experienced another loss this week, when Glen Campbell succumbed to his battle with Alzheimer's.
In total, Glen Campbell has released 70 albums during his 60-year career and sold 45 million albums in the world. He even, for a brief time, was a member of the Beach Boys.
Toby Keith: "Rest In Peace Glen".
Campbell experienced a resurgence in popularity in the late seventies and early eighties, which included the insanely catchy "Rhinestone Cowboy".
He learned to play music on a five-dollar Sears guitar he received from his father, taking lessons from his Uncle Boo.

And then I heard the sad news about his diagnosis with Alzheimer's Disease about the time former UT Lady Vols basketball coach Pat Summitt was also diagnosed.
Campbell has left a major impact on South Dakota musicians like Hill that will continue to play on. In the early 1980s , while battling alcoholism and cocaine addiction, Campbell made tabloid headlines with a 15-month, high-profile relationship with country singer Tanya Tucker.
In late March 2016, it was widely reported that Campbell was in the final stages of Alzheimer's and could no longer play guitar or speak.
We are thankful for Glen's time on earth and will forever hold onto his legacy as not only a famed country music star, but also the impact of Christ in his life and how transformative that power really is.

In the 1960s and 1970s, Campbell and a host of other musicians formed what is fondly known as the Wrecking Crew. I also shot a few of his album covers back in the day and, at the time, I never knew people were paid to do that, but a few weeks later I received a check in the mail that was unexpected and highly received.
Campbell's passing gives us another opportunity to honor those who are fighting the disease, those who are looking for a treatment and those who care for a loved one who has it. "I will always love you", Dolly Parton wrote on Twitter.
"The whole lid just blew off", Campbell told the AP.
Campbell was diagnosed in 2011, and with his family by his side, he raised awareness about Alzheimer's disease, sharing this very personal side with fans.
"One of his favorite songs was "Try a Little Kindness", in which he sings "Shine your light on everyone you see.' My God".
